Exhaustion

-

 Breaking of bone

Under pressure misplaced

I cannot waiver

I cannot break

There is too much to be done.


Better to be alone 

Or to be alone with another

How do we make that choice

To bear the load of two

Or fall deeply into the pit alone

That’s the real question.


Why try so hard to push a boulder

That only desires to roll down the mountain 

It does not realize it’s crushing me

And does not try to stop the fall.
