dying magnolias

-
warm storm water
dripping heavy
slipping down leaves
falling to clay
causing little muddy puddles
for spirits to play
thunder rolls
shifting through air
being chased
by white lightning
silence falls
as the world goes still
only hearing
the steady dance
of heavy rain
